Al ser autólogo, no causa inmunorreactividad en los pacientes y tampoco es un procedimiento invasivo, lo que hace que su aplicación sea más sencilla y práctica. Hay evidencia que sugiere que el PRP presenta un aceleramiento en la regeneración tisular, lo que provoca la activación de genes osteoblásticos en combinación con las células madre mesenquimales, esto induce una regeneración ósea que promueve la consolidación. Es por ello que se están estudiando sus resultados en fracturas óseas con retraso en la consolidación, como complemento a la inmovilización, acelerando la regeneración ósea y mejorando la calidad de la vida de los pacientes.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is an autologous infiltrate extracted from the patient&#8217;s blood to address various medical treatments. Being autologous, it does not cause immunoreactivity in patients and is a non-invasive procedure. Evidence suggests that PRP accelerates tissue regeneration by activating osteoblastic genes with mesenchymal stem cells, thus promoting bone regeneration and consolidation. This is why its results are being studied in cases of delayed bone fractures as a complement to immobilization, speeding up the bone regeneration process and improving the quality of life for patients.]]></p></abstract>
