Se lleva a cabo mediante diferentes vías de abordaje quirúrgico: laparotomía, vaginal, laparoscopia y asistida por robot.  Objetivo:  Analizar la incidencia de las diferentes vías de abordaje de la histerectomía en el tratamiento de la enfermedad benigna del útero en el Hospital Ángeles Pedregal, y comparar sus resultados.  Material y métodos:  Estudio transversal y descriptivo efectuado mediante la recopilación de datos de los expedientes clínicos de las pacientes operadas de histerectomía por patología benigna del útero, y realizadas vía laparotomía, vaginal o mínima invasión entre el 01 de enero de 2015 hasta el 31 de diciembre del mismo año. Los parámetros comparados son: estancia media hospitalaria, tiempo quirúrgico y de anestesia, sangrado, dolor postoperatorio y complicaciones.  Resultados:  La muestra estudiada se conformó de 213 pacientes. La vía de abordaje quirúrgico más frecuente fue la histerectomía por laparotomía (61.97%), misma que presenta la mayor tasa de complicaciones transoperatorias y postoperatorias, y la mayor cantidad de sangrado y tiempo de estancia intrahospitalaria.  Conclusiones:  Debe considerarse de elección para el manejo quirúrgico de la patología uterina benigna las técnicas de mínima invasión y la histerectomía vaginal, por su baja tasa de morbimortalidad.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract:  Introduction:  Hysterectomy is the most frequent surgical procedure of gynecological practice. It is performed by different surgical approaches: laparotomy, vaginal, laparoscopy and robot-assisted laparoscopy.  Objective:  To analyze the incidence of the different approaches to hysterectomy in the treatment of benign disease of the uterus in the Angeles Pedregal Hospital, and to compare their results.  Material and methods:  Transversal and descriptive study was carried out through the collection of data from the clinical files of patients who underwent laparotomy, vaginal, laparoscopic or robot assisted laparoscopic hysterectomy during January 01, 2015 to December 31 of the same year. The parameters evaluated and com-pared were: average hospital stay, surgical and anesthesia time, bleeding amount, postoperative pain and intra and postoperative complications.  Results:  The sample studied consisted of 213 patients. The most frequent surgical approach was abdominal hysterectomy (61.97%), which presented the highest rate of transoperative and postoperative complications, the highest amount of bleeding and length of hospital stay. Vaginal and minimally invasive approaches, has the lowest rate of surgical complications.  Conclusions:  Minimally invasive techniques and vaginal hysterectomy, due to its low rate of morbidity and mortality should be considered of choice for the surgical management of benign uterine disease.]]></p></abstract>
