<self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S1870-199X2009000300148&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S1870-199X2009000300148&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S1870-199X2009000300148&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen La sinovitis y adherencias de los tejidos internos de la articulación temporomandibular, es un hallazgo común durante la artroscopia diagnóstica terapéutica en un 85%.1 Considerando las interrogantes de saber si existe una relación franca entre sinovitis y adherencias y si existe una dependencia de estas patologías para la producción de la otra. Se realizó un análisis artroscópico para determinar la relación entre sinovitis y adherencias, en una muestra seleccionada de 130 articulaciones de 65 pacientes con diagnóstico de degeneración interna de la articulación temporomandibular (ATM), en la población derechohabiente del Hospital Regional "General Ignacio Zaragoza" del Instituto de Seguridad y Servicios Sociales para los Trabajadores del Estado (ISSSTE) en la zona oriente de la ciudad de México Distrito Federal, durante el periodo comprendido entre enero de 2006 a marzo de 2008, posterior a ser sometidos a tratamiento conservador por espacio de tres meses2 sin obtener resultados óptimos, se les realizó artroscopia diagnóstica y terapéutica, obteniendo los siguientes resultados: Ninguna sinovitis ni adherencias en 14.61%, sin sinovitis con adherencias 27.69%, sinovitis sin adherencias 37.69%, sinovitis y adherencias presentes en 20%. Concluyendo que la relación entre sinovitis y adherencias no se observa en este estudio a pesar de la significativa frecuencia de las patologías.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract Synovitis and adherences of the internal tissues of the temporo-mandibular joint is a common finding during the therapeutics diagnostic arthroscopy in a 85%. Considering the question of knowing if there is a clear relation between synovitis and adherences and if there is a dependence of these diseases for the development of one to another. An arthroscopic analysis to determine the relation between synovitis and adherences was carried out in a sample of 130 TMJ of 65 patients diagnosed with internal degeneration of the TMJ, in the population seen at the Regional Hospital "General Ignacio Zaragoza" of the ISSSTE at the east zone of Mexico City from January 2006 to March 2008, after being treated by conservative means during three months and without observing optimal improvement, a diagnostic and therapeutic arthroscopy was carried out, obtaining these results: no synovitis nor adherences in 14.61%, without synovitis and with adherences 37.69%, synovitis and adherences in 20%. It was concluded that the relation between synovitis and adheren ces is not observed in this study even though the high frequency of this diseases.]]></p></abstract>
