Para el tratamiento de los términos de correlación- intercambio se consideró la parametrización propuesta por Perdew y Wang (PWC). Además, se reportan los parámetros de reactividad (potencial químico, dureza química e índice electrofílico), y densidad de estados molecular (DOS). Del análisis de los orbítales frontera (HOMO y LUMO) se observa un cambio electrónico del sistema debido a que se presenta una transición en su comportamiento de aislante (gap=5.17 eV) a semiconductor (gap=3.93 eV) cuando es dopado con carbonos, de esta manera se aumenta la energía de adsorción considerablemente (de -3.67 eV a -0.47 eV).]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[We have investigated the adsorption of water molecule (H2O) on a boron nitride cluster that has as initial configuration to coroneno (C24H12). All calculations were carried out based on ab initio quantum mechanical calculations. From HOMO-LUMO analysis is reported a very important transition when one atom of nitrogen is substituted for carbon in this cluster (NB) from 5.17 eV. up to 3.93 eV. This decrease in electronic gap value to favorate the adsorption processes of water molecule on BN cluster. Moreover the chemical potential, chemical hardness and electrofilics values are reported.]]></p></abstract>

<body><![CDATA[<p align="justify"><font face="verdana" size="2"><b>Resumen</b></font></p>     <p align="justify"><font face="verdana" size="2">A trav&eacute;s de c&aacute;lculos por primeros principios basados en la teor&iacute;a DFT se investiga la adsorci&oacute;n de la mol&eacute;cula de agua (H<sub>2</sub>O) por el c&uacute;mulo de nitruro de boro tipo coroneno (C<sub>24</sub>H<sub>12</sub>) para simular a la hoja. Para el tratamiento de los t&eacute;rminos de correlaci&oacute;n&#150; intercambio se consider&oacute; la parametrizaci&oacute;n propuesta por Perdew y Wang (PWC). Adem&aacute;s, se reportan los par&aacute;metros de reactividad (potencial qu&iacute;mico, dureza qu&iacute;mica e &iacute;ndice electrof&iacute;lico), y densidad de estados molecular (DOS).
