Cuando la concentración de Na+,    S O  4  2 -, Mg2+ y Cl es relativamente alta, entre 29,221 y 71,022 ppm se intensifica la presencia de burbujas finas, entre 0.50 y 1.67 mm de diámetro y con ello las condiciones favorables de flotación. Se observó que la concentración de Na+ y Mg2+ incrementó la recuperación de carbón hasta 85%. Las soluciones con alto contenido de K+ y I&#8722; están asociadas con recuperaciones modestas, entre 44 y 70%, mientras que la combinación de iones de Na + y    S O  4  2 - intensifica la recuperación de materia mineral en el concentrado, hasta un 60%.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract In this study we assessed the coal flotation in KI, Na2SO4, MgCl2 and NaCl solutions in the absence of frother. When the concentration of Na+,    S O  4  2 --, Mg2+ and Cl- is relatively high, between 29,221 and 71,022 ppm intensifies the presence of fine bubbles, between 0.50 and 1.67 mm (diameter) and thus the favorable conditions of flotation. It was observed that the concentration of Na+ and Mg2+ increased combustible recovery to 85%. Solutions with high K+ and I&#8722; are associated with modest recoveries between 44 and 70%, while the combination of ions Na+ and    S O  4  2 - enhances recovery of mineral matter in the concentrate, to 60%.]]></p></abstract>
