Con ese propósito, se recogen 96 reseñas producidas ad hoc por los estudiantes de los cuatro cursos y se analiza el corpus atendiendo a la estructura, la voz del autor y la corrección lingüística. Se constatan mejorías en la selección de la información y la inclusión del lector en el texto, pero no sucede lo mismo con la argumentación e, incluso, se manifiesta cada vez mayor despreocupación por el posicionamiento crítico del autor o la ortografía y la puntuación.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The objective of this article is to characterize the academic writing of undergraduate students majoring in modern languages at Universidad de Deusto (Spain). With that aim, we compiled 96 summaries produced ad hoc by the students in four courses; we analyzed the body of work based on structure, authorial voice, and linguistic correction. We confirmed improvements in selecting the information and considering the reader; such is not the case for argumentation, however, as writers showed increasing disinterest in critical positioning, spelling, and punctuation.]]></p></abstract>
