Objetivo:  Determinar el nivel de satisfacción al alta de los pacientes adultos egresados del Hospital Militar, Asunción, durante el 2023.  Material y métodos:  Se aplicó un diseño observacional de corte transversal. Se incluyeron los pacientes de ambos sexos, mayores de edad, dados de alta de los servicios de Clínica Médica, Cirugía y Ginecoobstetricia del Hospital Militar, Asunción, entre los meses de abril y octubre del 2023. El muestreo fue de casos consecutivos. Los pacientes fueron reclutados el día del alta y si firmaban el consentimiento informado, llenaban el cuestionario SERVQUAL de satisfacción. Las variables fueron sometidas a estadística descriptiva. El estudio fue aprobado por el Comité de ética de la Universidad Privada del Este, Paraguay.  Resultados:  La muestra se constituyó con 212 encuestados, siendo 176 (83 %) mujeres con mediana de edad 32 años y 36 varones con mediana de edad 55 años. Las salas de egreso fueron de ginecología (66 %), clínica médica (21 %) y cirugía (13 %). La frecuencia de satisfacción global fue 37.2 %, siendo mayor en ginecología y menor en cirugía. Las dimensiones con mayor satisfacción fueron las de seguridad y empatía, mientras que la de menor satisfacción fue la de tangibilidad. Se halló que los sujetos solteros y sin acompañamiento familiar presentaron significativamente mayor insatisfacción que aquellos casados o acompañados.  Conclusión:  El nivel de satisfacción al alta fue 37:2 %, siendo mayor en los egresados de ginecología.  Limitaciones del estudio o implicaciones:  Diseño transversal y muestreo no probabilístico.  Originalidad o valor:  Es el primer estudio realizado en el Hospital Militar de Asunción valorando la satisfacción al alta de pacientes adultos egresados de tres servicios.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract  Introduction:  Patient satisfaction with health services provides important information regarding the quality of care.  Objective:  Determine the level of satisfaction upon discharge of adult patients discharged from the Military Hospital, Asunción, during 2023. Patients of both sexes, of legal age, discharged from the Medical Clinic, Surgery and Obstetrics Gynecology services of the Military Hospital, Asunción, between the months of April and October 2023 were included. The sampling consisted of consecutive cases. Patients were recruited on the day of discharge and if they signed the informed consent, they filled out the SERVQUAL satisfaction questionnaire. The variables were subjected to descriptive statistics. The study was approved by the Ethics Committee of the Universidad Privada del Este, Paraguay.  Results:  The sample consisted of 212 respondents, 176 (83%) being women with a median age of 32 years and 36 men with a median age of 55 years. The discharge rooms were gynecology (66%), medical clinic (21%) and surgery (13%). The frequency of overall satisfaction was 37.2%, being higher in gynecology and lower in surgery. The dimensions with the greatest satisfaction were those of security and empathy, while the one with the least satisfaction was tangibility. It was found that single subjects without family accompaniment presented significantly greater dissatisfaction than those married or accompanied.  Conclusion:  The level of satisfaction at discharge was 37.2%, being higher in gynecology graduates.  Limitations of the study or implications:  Cross-sectional design and non-probabilistic sampling.
