MATERIALES Y MÉTODOS:  Estudio retrospectivo, transversal, de análisis relacional de pacientes que acudieron a consulta al Centro de Fertilidad-IECH entre los meses de mayo de 2019 y mayo de 2020. Se utilizó la prueba de normalidad de Kolmogorov-Smirnov, con medias y desviaciones estándar para valores normales; medianas y rangos intercuartiles (RIQ) para valores no paramétricos. Para mostrar diferencias entre los grupos se aplicó la prueba t pareada y de Mann-Whitney dependiendo, respectivamente, de la normalidad de los datos y del coeficiente de correlación de Spearman para calcular la dependencia entre las variables no paramétricas. Se usó el programa GraphPad Prism (v 8), el valor de p &lt; 0.05 se consideró con significación estadística.  RESULTADOS:  Se analizaron 106 expedientes de pacientes con diagnóstico de infertilidad con media de 35 ± 4.97 años y mediana de 19.90 ng/mL (RIQ 57.06) de 25-hidroxivitamina D. La deficiencia de vitamina D (menos de 20 ng/mL) no se asoció con los valores de hormona antimülleriana (p = 0.0525); se encontró diferencia entre las concentraciones de vitamina D para pacientes menores y mayores de 35 años (p = 0.0423) y una correlación entre vitamina D y hormona antimülleriana (rho de Spearman: -0.210, IC95%: -0.41 a -0.005, p = 0.0495).  CONCLUSIONES:  El 50% de las pacientes infértiles tenía deficiencia de vitamina D. Si bien no está debidamente dilucidado el mecanismo, existe una dependencia de los valores de 25-hidroxivitamina D y de la hormona antimülleriana.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract  OBJECTIVE:  To evaluate the association between serum concentrations of 25-hydroxyvitamin D and antimullerian hormone in Mexican patients with infertility.  MATERIALS AND METHODS:  Retrospective, cross-sectional study of relational analysis of patients who came to consult at the IECH Fertility Center between the months of May 2019 and May 2020. The Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test was used, with means and standard deviations (SD) for normal values; medians and interquantity ranges (IQR) for non-parametric values. To show differences between the groups the paired t-test and Mann-Whitney test were applied depending, respectively, on the normality of the data and the Spearman correlation coefficient to calculate the dependence between non-parametric variables. GraphPad Prism (v 8) was used, the value of p &lt; 0.05 was considered with statistical significance.  RESULTS:  A total of 106 files of patients diagnosed with infertility with a mean age of 35 4.97 and a median of 19.90 ng/mL (IQR 57.06) of 25-hydroxyvitamin D were analyzed. Vitamin D deficiency (less than 20 ng/mL) was not associated with antimullerian hormone values (p = 0.0525); a difference was found between vitamin D concentrations for patients younger and older than 35 years (p = 0.0423) and a correlation between vitamin D and antimullerian hormone (Spearman&#8217;s rho: -0.210, 95%CI -0.41 to -0.005, p = 0.0495).  CONCLUSIONS:  50% of the infertile patients had vitamin D deficiency. Although the mechanism is not properly elucidated, there is a dependence on the values of 25-hydroxyvitamin D and the antimullerian hormone.]]></p></abstract>
