<self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S0188-62662022000100167&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S0188-62662022000100167&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S0188-62662022000100167&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen En el presente trabajo pretendemos mostrar, bajo los lineamientos de la sociosemiótica, la función política del episodio &#8220;El gigante de las botas rojas&#8221;, de la serie televisiva Los cuentos de la calle Broca, transmitida en México a través del Canal Once en los 90 (Once-Instituto Politécnico Nacional [IPN], 2022). Para la sociosemiótica, todo objeto cultural es una herramienta ideológica que puede usarse con intenciones &#8220;aleccionadoras&#8221; y dominantes. En el caso de textos (literarios, cinematográficos, televisivos, etcétera) dirigidos a un público supuestamente infantil, la manipulación de la información, en varias ocasiones, resulta mayor. Por ciertas características observadas en su visionado y por el momento en el que se produce en Francia (1995), y se transmite en ese país y en México, partimos de la hipótesis de que ese capítulo transcribe parte de la ideología occidental (capitalista-católica), propia de las postrimerías de la Guerra Fría, con la finalidad de oponerla a la ideología socialista. El análisis de determinados signos (lingüísticos, vestimentales, icónicos, etcétera) nos permitirá entender su función significante a partir de este supuesto. El resultado de ese análisis contendrá nociones comunes al momento de producción del episodio en cuestión. De esta manera, sostenemos que &#8220;El gigante de las botas rojas&#8221; funciona como un modelo cognitivo aleccionador, puesto que implica una forma de entender y actuar ante la realidad.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract In this paper we intend to show, under the guidelines of sociosemiotics, the political function of the episode &#8220;El gigante de las botas rojas&#8221;, of the television series Los cuentos de la calle Broca, broadcast in Mexico through Canal Once in the 90s. For sociosemiotics, every cultural object is an ideological tool that can be used with "instructive" and dominant intentions. In the case of texts (literary, cinematographic, television, etc.) aimed at a supposedly children&#8217;s audience, the manipulation of information is sometimes greater. For certain characteristics observed in its vision and for the moment in which it is produced in France (1995), and transmitted in that country and in Mexico, we start from the hypothesis that this chapter transcribes part of the western ideology (capitalist-Catholic) aiming to juxtapose it with the social ideology. The analysis of certain signs (linguistic, vestimental, iconic, etc.) will allow us to understand their significant function from this assumption. The result of this analysis will contain common notions at the time of production of the episode in question. In this way, we argue that "The giant of the red boots" functions as an instructive cognitive model, since it implies a way of understanding and acting before reality.]]></p></abstract>
