Una gráfica del tipo CDA muestra la variación del volumen adsorbido (V) con respecto al espesor de la capa adsorbida (t); la pendiente dV / dt de estos diagramas es indicadora de los procesos de llenado que ocurren en poros de dimensiones moleculares (microporos) así como del desarrollo y posible colapso de la capa adsorbida dentro de las entidades mesoporosas. La existencia de picos a lo largo del eje t de estos gráficos CDA está relacionada de forma intrínseca con los tamaños de los poros presentes en los adsorbentes bajo análisis. Las zeolitas estudiadas en este trabajo son de los tipos erionita (ERI), mordenita (MOR) y clinoptilolita (HEU). En las gráficas CDA de estas zeolitas, se observó tanto la existencia de picos agudos en la zona de microporos como de picos menos prominentes en la región de mesoporos. De esta manera se infirió, para estas zeolitas, la presencia de estructuras microporosas de tamaño uniforme, que están dispersas en el interior de una matriz mesoporosa que comprende una distribución más amplia de tamaños de poro.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT Differential curves of adsorption (DCA) were determined from experimental data of N2 adsorption at 76 K on natural zeolites. The variations in the adsorbed volume V with respect to the thickness of the adsorbed layer t, represented by the derivative dV/ dt , are indicative of the processes that take place in pores of molecular dimensions (micropores). The shapes of the differential curves of adsorption provide very valuable information about the distributions of pore sizes existing in the studied zeolites. The differential curves of adsorption of dealuminated clinoptilolite zeolites showed the presence of both micropores and micropores. Sharp peaks were due to the microporous structure and wider signals were caused by the mesoporous contribution, which was attributed to the presence of irregular mesopores. It was confirmed that the position of the peaks is related to the size of the pores that are present in these zeolites. The method of evaluation of pore sizes presented herein is not related to any specific adsorption mechanism.]]></p></abstract>
