Se utiliza un diseño cualitativo sustentado en la Grounded Theory, produciendo datos mediante entrevistas semiestructuradas y revisión de documentos. Los resultados desvelan el privilegio otorgado a las pruebas proyectivas, al uso de la entrevista como técnica transversal, a la menor formalización en los procesos de inducción, y a las limitaciones para atraer a candidatos calificados. Surge entonces la necesidad de procesos de selección rigurosos, dado su impacto sobre la calidad de las intervenciones realizadas en los sectores de amplia vulnerabilidad y exclusión social.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: This article looks into the hiring processes by solidarity-based organizations, describing the procedures used for recruiting, selecting, and socializing their paid staff. The research design is qualitative, based on grounded theory, and produces data through semi-structured interviews and document review. The results reveal the emphasis on tests based on projections, the use of the interview as a crosscutting technique, less formal induction processes, and limitations in attracting qualified applicants. The need therefore arises for rigorous selection processes given their impact on the quality of these organizations&#8217; interventions in very vulnerable, excluded sectors.]]></p></abstract>
