La hipótesis es que entre 1922 y 1940, la creciente demanda en el mercado interno de energéticos derivados del petróleo por parte de los servicios de transporte, posicionó a la capital como el principal consumidor del mercado interno, exigió la instalación de un complejo sistema de infraestructuras y una serie de operaciones logísticas para el abasto de gasolina y lubricantes que introdujo nuevas lógicas económicas, espaciales y urbanas. El principal hallazgo es que el sistema de infraestructuras y logística para el abasto de combustibles se conformó como una compleja red sociotécnica que implicó la instalación de nodos de diverso calado y función que agregaron un componente más al espacio urbano de la ciudad.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: The objective of this article is to show how the infrastructure and logistics operations network for the gasoline supply was linked to public transportation services and materially transformed Mexico City. The hypothesis is that between 1922 and 1940, growing demand for petroleum-derived energy in the domestic market by transport services positioned the capital as the main consumer in the domestic market, requiring the installation of a complex infrastructure system and a series of logistical operations for the supply of gasoline and lubricants that introduced new economic, spatial and urban logics. The main finding is that the infrastructure and logistics system for fuel supply was formed as a complex socio-technical network involving the installation of nodes of varying scope and functions that added another component to the urban space of the city.]]></p></abstract>
