Desde la categoría historiográfica de &#8220;Los Grupos&#8221;, estos colectivos no han sido abordados como parte de procesos históricos que trascienden los límites del contexto local y nacional de las décadas de 1960 y 1970. En la investigación se utilizaron los principios de la historia global para construir un nuevo panorama enfocado en estos dos casos de estudio. A partir de dos conceptos, trabajo y guerrilla cultural, se conecta a Germinal y Suma con ideas, acontecimientos y posturas estético-políticas que atraviesan directa e indirectamente una diversidad de países. Con base en fuentes como los escritos de miembros de ambos colectivos y sus reflexiones en revistas culturales, la investigación integra las prácticas artísticas y políticas en un panorama global de intercambios que configuraron a la nueva izquierda, cuyo pensamiento político se refleja como plenamente cultural. El texto renueva la discusión sobre la relación estética-política para estos colectivos, descentrando las narrativas que priorizan la experiencia de 1968, así como al desarrollo del arte conceptual.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This article situates the artistic practices of the collectives Germinal and Suma, active in the late 1970s, within a global framework. Although these collectives are often studied under the historiographical category of &#8220;Los Grupos&#8221;, they have rarely been analyzed as part of historical processes that go beyond local or national contexts of the 1960s and 1970s. Drawing on principles of a global history, the study reconstructs a new landscape centered on these two case studies. Using the concepts of cultural work and cultural guerrilla, the article connects Germinal and Suma with aesthetic-political ideas and events that directly or indirectly link to diverse international contexts. Through sources such as collective members&#8217; writings and their reflections in cultural magazines, the research integrates artistic and political practices into a broader global network of exchanges that shaped the New Left, wherein political thought was inherently cultural. The article renews the discussion on the aesthetic-political relationship in these collectives, challenging narratives that prioritize the experience of 1968 as well as the development of conceptual art.]]></p></abstract>
