<self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S0035-001X2013000400005&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S0035-001X2013000400005&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S0035-001X2013000400005&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Se han sintetizado a través del método sol-gel y caracterizado por difracción de rayos X (DRX), conductividad eléctrica y coeficiente de expansión térmica (TEC), nuevos compósitos del material BaSrCoFe1_xNi xO5.5 (tipo doble perovskita) con la adición de Ni en solución sólida Ni x (x = 0.025,0.05,0.075,0.1 y 0.2), como cátodos alternativos para celdas de combustible de óxido sólido de temperatura intermedia (SOFC-IT). Se confirma por DRX la formación de la fase perovskita de estructura tetragonal BaSrCoFe1_xNi xO5.5 con la presencia de pequeños máximos identificados en valores 2&#952; inferiores a 30° como BaCO3 y CoFe2O. La conductividad eléctrica aumenta con la temperatura entre 350-470°C y entonces disminuye debido a la pérdida de oxígeno en la red lo cual causa las diferencias en la conductividad. Se obtuvo un comportamiento semiconductor en todas las composiciones. La determinacioón del TEC, mostró una dependencia lineal inversamente proporcional a la concentración de Ni. Nuestros resultados de conductividad eléctrica y TEC nos conducen a la conclusión de que los cátodos entre 0.1 y 0.2 de Ni tienen la mayor posibilidad para aplicarse en las celdas SOFC-IT.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Have been synthesized via sol-gel method and characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), electrical conductivity and thermal expansion coefficient (TEC), new material composites BaSrCoFe1_xNi xO5.5 (double perovskite type) with the addition of Ni in solid solution Ni x (x = 0.025, 0.05, 0.075, 0.1 and 0.2), as alternative cathodes for solid oxide fuel cells of intermediate temperature (SOFC-IT). XRD confirmed the formation of the tetragonal structure perovskite phase BaSrCoFe1_xNi xO5.5 , with the presence of small peaks identified in 2&#952; values below 30° as BaCO3 and CoFe2O4. The electrical conductivity increases with temperature between 350-470° C and then decreases due to the loss ofoxygen in the net, which causes differences in conductivity. Semiconductor behavior was obtained in all compositions. TEC determination, showed a linear dependence inversely proportional to the concentration of Ni. Our results of electrical conductivity and TEC, lead us to the conclusion that the cathodes between 0.1 and 0.2 Ni, have the greatest possibility for application in IT-SOFC.]]></p></abstract>
