La difracción de rayos x muestra nuevos compuestos con periodos de identidad similares a aquéllos de las matrices, los cuales indican que la segunda capa intercalada se localiza en las mismas galerías. La difracción electrónica muestra en estos nuevos compuestos estructuras conmensurables e inconmensurables.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Novel graphite bi-intercalation compounds (GBICs) with layers of ErCl3 and HoCl3 were synthesized by sequential intercalation, using one-zone vapour phase method from well defined stage-2 GdCl3 and SmCl3 binary graphite intercalation compounds as host matrices. The x-ray diffraction shows stage-2 new compounds with c-axis repeat distances similar to those of the host matrices, which indicates that second intercalate layers are located into the same galleries. The electron diffraction also shows commensurate and incommensurate structures on both compounds.]]></p></abstract>

La difracci&oacute;n de rayos x muestra nuevos compuestos con periodos de identidad similares a aqu&eacute;llos de las matrices, los cuales indican que la segunda capa intercalada se localiza en las mismas galer&iacute;as.
