The third-order electric susceptibility &#967;(3) at continuous 532 nm radiation is estimated based on a band transport model describing photorefractive properties for this electro-optic material. An anisotropic behavior on its nonlinear optical absorption properties has also been observed due to the presence of chromium ions.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Se investigo el auto-enfocamiento y la absorción óptica no lineal en un cristal cerámico de niobato de potasio dopado con cromo. Se estimó el valor de la susceptibilidad electrica a tercer orden &#967;(3) para una radiación continua de 532 nm sobre la base de un modelo de transporte de banda que describe las propiedades fotorefractivas para este material electro-óptico. También se observó un comportamiento anisótropo en sus propiedades ópticas no lineales debido a la presencia de iones de cromo.]]></p></abstract>
