Sin embargo, es necesario mejorar la calidad de biofertilizantes con especies micorrízicas eficientes que beneficien a los cultivos.  Objetivo:  Identificar la diversidad de hongos micorrízicos arbusculares (HMA) de dos suelos de San Luis Potosí y su respuesta en el crecimiento de Sorghum vulgare y Zea mays.  Métodos:  Se utilizaron dos tipos de suelo (húmedo y semiárido) y plantas trampas de Sorghum vulgare y Zea mays. Se evaluó el crecimiento, comportamiento micorrízico y el flujo de CO2 del sustrato.  Resultados y conclusiones: Se identificaron 11 especies de hongos micorrízicos pertenecientes a tres familias del Phyllum Glomeromycota. La familia Glomeraceae fue más abundante seguida de Acaulosporaceae y Claroideo-glomeraceae. Los cultivos aumentaron su biomasa aérea en el sustrato semiárido y la biomasa radicular en el sustrato húmedo. La mayor tasa de flujo de CO2 se encontró en el sustrato semiárido. El número de esporas fue superior en el sustrato semiárido y el porcentaje y eficiencia de colonización fue mayor en el Zea mays del sustrato semiárido. La mayor diversidad de HMA se replicó en el cultivo trampa de Sorghum vulgare.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract  Background:  Currently, the technology for the production of mycorrhizal biofertilizers has experienced a notable boost. However, it is necessary to improve the quality of the biofertilizers by selecting efficient mycorrhizal species that benefit the crops.  Objective:  Identify the diversity of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) of two soils of San Luis Potosí and its response in the growth of Sorghum vulgare y Zea mays.  Methods: Two types of soils (wet and semiarid), and Sorghum vulgare y Zea mays trap plants were used. Growth, mycorrhizal behavior and the CO2 flux of the substrate were evaluated.  Results and conclusions: Eleven mycorrhizal fungal species belonging to three families of the Phyllum Glomeromycota were identified. The Glomeraceae family was the most abundant followed by the Acaulosporaceae and the Claroi-deo-glomeraceae. The crops increased their aerial biomass in the semi-arid substrate and the root biomass in the wet substrate. The highest CO2 flow rate was found in the semi-arid substrate. The number of spores was greatest in the semi-arid substrate and the percentage and efficiency of colonization was greatest in the Zea mays of the semi-arid substrate. The greatest diversity of AMF was replicated in the Sorghum vulgare trap culture.]]></p></abstract>
