Presentación del caso:  masculino de 72 años con enfermedad por COVID-19, quien fue ingresado en la unidad de cuidados intensivos en abril de 2020, se le realizó terapia de fibrinólisis con tenecteplasa, complicándose con agudización de su enfermedad renal crónica que ameritó terapia de soporte renal con diálisis peritoneal. Tuvo mejoría clínica de la función cardiaca, de la función renal y respiratoria, se egresó a la consulta externa.  Conclusiones:  el presente caso ilustra claramente el modo en el que la pandemia de COVID-19 puede influir en la asistencia de un IAMCEST y sus resultados. Afortunadamente, a pesar de que sólo se ofreció fibrinólisis, el paciente tuvo evolución satisfactoria. No obstante, se deben establecer protocolos para manejo de pacientes con IAMCEST positivos a COVID-19 en busca de disminuir los tiempos para inicio del tratamiento.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract:  Objective:  describe the presence of myocardial infarction in a patient with SARS-CoV-2 disease.  Presentation of case:  case report of a 72-year-old male with COVID-19 disease, who was admitted to the intensive care unit in April 2020 undergoing fibrinolysis therapy with tecnecteplase, complicating his chronic kidney disease exacerbation that required renal support therapy with peritoneal dialysis. With clinical improvement in cardiac function, renal and respiratory function, discharging to the outpatient clinic.  Conclusions:  this case clearly illustrates how the COVID-19 pandemic can influence STEMI care and outcomes. Fortunately, even though only fibrinolysis was offered, the patient had a satisfactory evolution. However, protocols should be established for the management of patients with COVID-19 positive STEMI in order to reduce the times to start treatment.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[Resumo:  Objetivo:  descrever a presença de infarto do miocárdio em paciente com doença SARS-CoV2. Desenho e participante: relato de caso de um homem de 72 anos com doença COVID-19, internado na unidade de terapia intensiva em abril de 2020, submetido à terapia de fibrinólise com Tenecteplase, complicada por uma exacerbação de sua doença renal crônica que necessitou de terapia de suporte renal com diálise peritoneal. Com melhora clínica da função cardíaca, renal e respiratória, alta para ambulatório.  Conclusões:  este caso ilustra claramente como a pandemia de COVID-19 pode influenciar os cuidados do IAMCEST e os resultados. Felizmente, embora apenas a fibrinólise tenha sido oferecida; o paciente teve evolução satisfatória, entretanto, protocolos devem ser estabelecidos para o manejo dos pacientes com IAMCEST positivo para COVID -19 a fim de reduzir o tempo para início do tratamento.]]></p></abstract>
