<self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S2448-84372018000200005&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S2448-84372018000200005&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S2448-84372018000200005&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen El presente ensayo es producto del avance de una investigación doctoral en diseño en la Universidad de Palermo, que se llevó a cabo mediante la aproximación transdisciplinar entre el diseño gráfico, la teoría social y su relación histórica con aspectos sociales, para abordar la identidad-gráfica-sociocultural de la ciudad de Tampico, México, entre los años 1994 y 2013. Considerando el paradigma socio-crítico de Kuhn (1962/2004) en su libro La estructura de las revoluciones científicas, se condujo un enfoque inductivista utilizando la descripción comparativa, es decir, el argumento de comparación y evaluación; a diferencia del abordaje puramente teórico. La realidad social proporcionó las diferentes categorías de tipo social que ayudaron a comprender cómo un fenómeno de diseño gráfico corporativo en la vía pública apareció como vestigio de la historia de la cultura tampiqueña. Por medio de un análisis historiográfico se hizo una aproximación a la realidad social en la ciudad de Tampico, ubicada en el noroeste de México, en la frontera con Estados Unidos. Mediante el análisis del discurso social y de los cambios ocurridos en los diseños corporativos, se buscó comprender la identidad-gráfica-sociocultural de la ciudad entre los años 1994 y 2013. Lo anterior, bajo la idea clara de que el diseño surge de las transformaciones socioeconómicas y culturales, así como los cambios sociales se ven condicionados por la influencia del diseño.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This essay is the product of the advance of a doctoral research in design at the University of Palermo, which was carried out throu gh the transdisciplinary approach of graphic design with social theory and its historical relationship with social aspects. From the socio-critical paradigm of Kuhn (1962/2004) in his book The Structure of Scientific Revolutions, an inductivist approach was conducted using comparative description, that is, the argument of comparison and evaluation of different forms to theories. The so cial reality provided the different categories of social type that hel ped to understand how a phenomenon of corporate graphic design in public streets appeared as a vestige of the history of a culture. Then, through the different analyzes, an approximation was made to the social reality in the city of Tampico, located in the nor thwest of Mexico, on the border with the United States. The social discourse and the changes occurred in the corporate designs in a given temporality allowed to understand their socio-graphic-socio-identity. The previous, under the clear idea that the design arises from the socioeconomic and cultural transformations, as well as the social changes are conditioned by the influence of the design.]]></p></abstract>
