Analisou a valorização cultural, as condições ambientais e sustentáveis da comunidade e os processos de ensino e aprendizagem na escola indígena. Verificou a importância do trabalho coletivo na construção das casas, denominado ajurí, que é fundamental para a caracterização e formação organizacional, por mutirões entre os moradores da comunidade. Investigou os conhecimentos na arquitetura indígena por meio da etnomatemática, no formato das casas e coberturas, sistemas métricos de plantas baixas e estruturas. A pesquisa teve como objetivos reconhecer, juntamente com alunos e professores, os conhecimentos tradicionais envolvidos na construção das moradias e a utilização destes conhecimentos no ensino e na aprendizagem na educação escolar indígena. Foram utilizados como referenciais teóricos de base, D&#8217;Ambrosio (2011) sobre o programa etnomatemática e Ausubel (2003) sobre aprendizagem significativa. A metodologia utilizada foi a pesquisa de campo de abordagem qualitativa, com observação participante, entrevistas, e captação de imagens e vídeos. Constatou-se que, por serem conhecimentos ancestrais de construção de moradias, fazem parte da cultura do povo.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: This work investigated the knowledge about house constructions in an indigenous community, called Araçá, in the northern region of Brazil. It analyzed the cultural valorization, the environmental and sustainable conditions of the community and the teaching and learning processes in the indigenous school. It verified the importance of the collective work in the construction of the houses, called ajurí, which is fundamental for the characterization and organizational formation, for joint efforts among the residents of the community. It researched the knowledge in indigenous architecture through ethnomathematics, in the form of houses and roofs, metric systems of floor plans and structures. The research aimed to recognize, together with students and teachers, the traditional knowledge involved in the construction of houses and the use of this knowledge in teaching and learning in indigenous school education. Basic theoretical references were D&#8217;Ambrosio (2011) on the ethnomathematics program and Ausubel (2003) on meaningful learning. The methodology used was field research, with participant observation, construction of house mockup, interviews, use of images and videos. It was verified that this knowledge is part of the culture of the people.]]></p></abstract>
