El método empleado consistió en la búsqueda de artículos científicos, a texto completo, de los últimos 10 años (desde finales de 2005 a comienzos de 2016) en revistas indizadas. Los principales resultados indican que el trabajo flexible se asocia con variables esenciales tanto a nivel organizacional como individual. La relevancia de los hallazgos da cuenta que, a pesar de los beneficios aparentes de implementar este tipo de acuerdos laborales, aún se encuentran ciertas barreras para hacerlo. Entre las limitaciones de esta revisión se encuentran las derivadas del posible sesgo de selección introducido por los criterios de inclusión definidos, vale decir, el hecho de considerar exclusivamente textos completos de acceso abierto y la inclusión mayoritaria de estudios en inglés. Se realizan algunas sugerencias para futuras investigaciones.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The objective of the present study was to make an update of the theory and investigation over flexible work, in order to show his actual state the art. The method employed consisted in the research of scientific papers from index journals published in the pasts 10 years (from late-2005 to early-2016). The main results shows that flexible work is associated with relevant organizational and individual variables. This findings demonstrate that, in spite of the benefits of implementing flexible work options, there still are some barriers to do it. The limitations of this revision came from biases in the selection of the articles, the exclusive use of open access full text papers and the inclusion of mostly English studies. Finally, some suggestion for future investigations are made.]]></p></abstract>
