Los datos se obtuvieron a través de una encuesta estructurada aplicada a una muestra de servidores públicos de un hospital del sector salud de Baja California, México (N=200). Los resultados muestran que las mujeres más jóvenes con menos de tres años de antigüedad y con trabajo de medio tiempo presentan cuadros más severos de agotamiento profesional que el resto de la muestra.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT This study examined the relationship of burnout and its three dimensions (emotional exhaustion, low personal accomplishment and depersonalization), and organizational commitment and its three dimensions (affective, normative and continued commitment). Data were collected using a structured questionnaire from Mexican nurses and general workers in a public hospital (N = 200). Results show that younger women with less than three years of seniority at the workplace and with a part time job are suffering more severe burnout than the rest of the simple.]]></p></abstract>
