La terapia vascular guiada por ultrasonido endoscópico (TV-USE) ha demostrado ser un método eficaz y seguro con baja tasa de recurrencia en el tratamiento de la hemorragia por várices gástricas. Se presenta el caso de un paciente con hemorragia causada por una várice gástrica de 3 cm de diámetro quien recibió TV-USE combinada con coil y cianoacrilato con la intención de mostrar las ventajas de la TV-USE combinada.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract Bleeding from gastric varices is usually more severe and fatal than esophageal variceal bleeding. Endoscopic ultrasound guided vascular therapy (TV-USE) has proven to be an effective and safe method with a low recurrence rate in the treatment of gastric variceal bleeding. We present the case of a patient with variceal bleeding caused by a 3 cm diameter gastric varix who received combined TV-USE with coil and cyanoacrylate. It is presented to illustrate the advantages of combined TV-USE.]]></p></abstract>
