Ante ello, se evaluó el efecto de los microrganismos benéficos en el cultivo del melón tipo Harper [Zacapa] a cielo abierto con relación al crecimiento y rendimiento. El experimento se realizó en el Crucero de la Ruana municipio de Buenavista, Michoacán, México. Se empleó un diseño experimental completamente al azar, con trece tratamientos y diez repeticiones. La unidad experimental fue una planta de melón. Los tratamientos evaluados fueron cinco microrganismos benéficos Pseudomonas fluorensces, Bacillus subtilis, Azospirillum brasilense, Trichoderma harzianum y Glomus fasciculatum (sin Rhizophagus fasciculatus), siete mezclas de estos entre sí, comparados con un testigo sin aplicación, se midieron diez variables: diámetro de tallo principal, rendimiento, peso de fruto, entre otras. La toma de datos se realizó a los 70 días después del transplante. Los mejores resultados para la variable diámetro de tallo principal se presentaron en las mezclas Trichoderma harzianum + Glomus fasciculatum y Azospirillum brasilense + Glomus fasciculatum con 10.60 y 10.51 mm respectivamente. En rendimiento, los valores más altos favorecieron a Bacillus subtilis; Trichoderma harzianum y la mezcla Bacillus subtilis + Azospirillum brasilense con 31.78, 29.49 y 27.79 t ha-1 o 1 765.54, 1 638.43 y 1 543.70 Cajas Bruce ha-1, respectivamente. El mayor tamaño de fruto se alcanzó con Glomus fasciculatum, por lo que se justifica el uso de estos microrganismos.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract In Mexico, there is very little research on beneficial microorganisms used as biofertilizers for melon cultivation, which implies insufficient use by farmers. The effect of beneficial microorganisms in open-air cultivation of Harper melon [Zacapa] was evaluated in relation to growth and yield. The experiment was carried out at Crucero de la Ruana, Buenavista municipality, Michoacán, Mexico. A completely randomized experimental design was used, with thirteen treatments and ten repetitions. The experimental unit was a melon plant. The treatments evaluated were five beneficial microorganisms Pseudomonas fluorensces, Bacillus subtilis, Azospirillum brasilense, Trichoderma harzianum and Glomus fasciculatum (syn Rhizophagus fasciculatus), seven mixtures of these, compared with a control without application and ten variables were measured: Main Stem Diameter, Yield, Fruit Weight, among other. Data collection was done 70 days after transplant. The best results for the Main Stem Diameter variable were presented in the mixtures Trichoderma harzianum + Glomus fasciculatum and Azospirillum brasilense + Glomus fasciculatum with 10.60 and 10.51 mm respectively. In the Yield, the highest values favored Basillus subtilis; Trichoderma harzianum and the mixture Bacillus subtilis +Azospirillum brasilense with 31.78, 29.49 and 27.79 t ha-1 or 1 765.54, 1 638.43 and 1 543.70 Bruce boxes ha-1, corresponding.
