<self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S2007-90282025000100011&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S2007-90282025000100011&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S2007-90282025000100011&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen Pseudotsuga menziesii es una conífera sujeta a protección especial, las poblaciones son pequeñas y discontinuas, con individuos aislados y dominados por otras especies; sus áreas se consideran de alto valor genético para la conservación; económicamente importante en México debido a la alta demanda como árbol de Navidad por su color, aroma y capacidad de retención del follaje. Para el establecimiento de plantaciones comerciales se debe garantizar un abasto continuo de germoplasma en cantidad y calidad. El objetivo fue determinar las características reproductivas de conos y semillas de árboles juveniles de P. menziesii procedentes de ensayos de inducción floral en plantaciones de árboles de Navidad establecidas en Acoculco, Chignahuapan, Puebla. Se tomaron muestras de conos maduros en árboles que fueron tratados con AG4/7 y anillado en el tronco, de ellos, se formaron dos grupos con diferente número de muestras de conos, un grupo recibió polen y el otro no. Los datos se analizaron con los procedimientos UNIVARIATE y GLM en SAS y una prueba de comparación de medias con Tukey (p &#8804; 0.05). La aplicación del AG4/7, en combinación con el anillado del tronco resultan ser tratamientos efectivos para la formación de estructuras reproductivas masculinas y femeninas, con mayor número semillas llenas y mayor eficiencia de semilla (1.54 y 2.94%). La polinización artificial incrementó la proporción de semillas llenas. Se recomienda aplicar AG4/7 para inducir floración temprana, incrementar la producción de conos y asistir con polinización para obtener mayor número de semillas y reducir el índice de endogamia.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract Pseudotsuga menziesii is a conifer subject to special protection, its populations are small and discontinuous, with isolated individuals and commonly dominated by other species; the areas are considered of high genetic value for conservation; economically important conifer in Mexico, due to the high demand it has as a Christmas tree due to its color, aroma and retention capacity of the foliage. For the establishment of commercial plantations, a continuous supply of germplasm in quantity and quality must be guaranteed. The objective was to determine the reproductive characteristics of cones and seeds of juvenile trees of P. menziesii from floral induction trials in Christmas tree plantations established in Acoculco, Chignahuapan, Puebla. Mature cone samples were taken from trees, that were treated with AG4/7 with the ringing of the trunk, of which two groups were formed with different numbers of cone samples, one group received pollen and the other did not. The data was analyzed with the UNIVARIATE and GLM procedures in SAS and a comparison test of means with Tukey (p &#8804; 0.05). The application of AG4/7, in combination with the ringing of the trunk turn out to be effective treatments for the formation of male and female reproductive structure, it induced a greater number of full seeds and greater seed efficiency (1.54 and 2.94%). The artificial pollinations to increase the proportion of full seeds. It is recommended to apply AG4/7 to induce early flowering, increase the production of cones and assist with pollination to increase the number of seeds and reduce the rate of inbreeding.]]></p></abstract>
