<self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S2007-90282024000400014&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S2007-90282024000400014&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S2007-90282024000400014&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen Con el objetivo de conocer la acumulación de forraje y la respuesta a la defoliación de arbustos forrajeros de zonas áridas, se evaluó la acumulación de forraje, la tasa de elongación y capacidad de rebrote en las especies chamizo (Atriplex canescens, Pursh, Nutt.), ramoncillo (Dalea bicolor, Willd), mariola (Parthenium incanum, Kunth), vara dulce (Eysenhardtia polystachya, Ort. Sarg), escobilla (Buddleja scordioides, Kunth), guajillo (Acacia berlandieri, Benth) y cenizo (Atriplex nummularia, Lindl) sometidas a tres intensidades de corte con base a la altura de las plantas (baja: 25%, media: 50% y alta: 75%). La tasa de elongación fue diferente entre especies (P &lt; 0.001), pero no entre intensidades de corte (P &gt; 0.05); chamizo y vara dulce fueron las especies que mostraron mayor crecimiento. La acumulación de forraje fue diferente entre especies y entre intensidades de corte (P &lt; 0.0001). La acumulación diaria de forraje promedio fue de 3.39 ± 5.0 g día-1, aumentando conforme se incrementó la intensidad de corte, siendo chamizo la especie que más forraje acumuló en la intensidad de corte alta con 14.6 ± 2.34 g día-1. Se concluye que la capacidad de rebrote fue similar en todas las especies de arbustos forrajeros, pero la acumulación de forraje dependió tanto de la especie como de la intensidad de corte.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract With the objective of evaluating forage accumulation and the response to defoliation of forage shrubs in arid areas, biomass accumulation, elongation rate and regrowth capacity were evaluated in the chamizo species (Atriplex canescens, Pursh, Nutt.), ramoncillo (Dalea bicolor, Willd), mariola (Parthenium incanum, Kunth), vara dulce (Eysenhardtia polystachya, Ort. Sarg), escobilla (Buddleja scordioides, Kunth), guajillo (Acacia berlandieri, Benth) and cenizo (Atriplex nummularia, Lindl) subjected to three cutting intensities based on the height of the plants (low: 25%, medium: 50% and high: 75%). The elongation rate was different between species (P &lt; 0.001), but not between cutting intensities (P &gt; 0.05); chamizo and vara dulce were the species that showed the greatest growth. Biomass accumulation was different between species and between cutting intensities (P &lt; 0.0001). The average daily biomass accumulation was 3.39 ± 5.0 g day-1, increasing as the cutting intensity increased, with chamizo being the species that accumulated the most biomass in the high cutting intensity with 14.6 ± 2.34 g day-1.
