La restauración productiva (RP), como estrategia que articula las necesidades de los productores y la conservación de los recursos naturales, fue implementada en módulos en los ejidos Benito Juárez II (BJ), Eugenio Echeverría Castellot I (EEC) y Los Ángeles (LA), aledaños a la REBICA. El objetivo fue evaluar una línea base que permita el monitoreo a largo plazo del impacto de las acciones de restauración en la diversidad arbórea, su uso y el carbono almacenado. Los ejidos EEC y LA se asociaron a sistemas agroforestales, y BJ a un sistema silvopastoril, estimando densidades de 1 713 ind ha-1, 3 144 ind ha-1 y 1 717 ind ha-1, respectivamente. La diversidad verdadera (1D) varió de 24.63 en LA a 15.13 en EEC y 13.47 en BJ. Se reconocieron 16 usos potenciales para las especies identificadas de las cuales 47 estuvieron protegidas en los listados de CITES, UICN y la NOM-059. Los valores de carbono correspondieron a 6.96 Mg C ha-1 en BJ, 10.32 Mg C ha-1 en EEC y 34.40 Mg C ha-1 en LA. Las variaciones en composición, estructura, biomasa y carbono estimadas indican que la estimación de esta línea base facilitará la generación de un programa de monitoreo para evaluar el impacto de las acciones de restauración implementadas y, en su caso, modificarlas para acelerar la recuperación de los atributos analizados.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: Tropical forests of the Calakmul Biosphere Reserve (REBICA) are home to high biodiversity and provide diverse ecosystem services threatened by the advance of the agricultural frontier. Productive restoration (RP), as a strategy that articulates the needs of producers and the conservation of natural resources, was implemented in modules in the ejidos Benito Juárez II (BJ), Eugenio Echeverría Castellot I (EEC) and Los Angeles (LA), adjacent to the REBICA. The aim was to evaluate a baseline for long-term monitoring of the impact of restoration actions on tree diversity, its use and stored carbon. The ejidos EEC and LA were associated with agroforestry systems, while in BJ a silvopastoral system was implemented, estimating densities of 1 713 ind ha-1, 3 144 ind ha-1 and 1 717 ind ha-1 respectively. True diversity (1D) ranged from 24.63 in LA to 15.13 in EEC and 13.47 in BJ. Sixteen potential uses were recognized for the identified species of which 47 were protected under CITES, IUCN and NOM-059 lists.
