En este trabajo se destaca su utilidad para el control de plagas, los métodos de aislamiento, multiplicación y formulación. Los avances en el desarrollo de los bioinsecticidas son una estrategia sostenible para el control de insectos y no son una amenaza para las plantas, la salud humana y el medio ambiente. Los estudios para su producción continúan en la búsqueda de nuevas cepas y metabolitos con potencial bioinsecticida, así como nuevas fuentes de nutrientes, mejora de las variables de crecimiento, y de tecnologías de formulación y aplicación, para reducir o eliminar el uso de plaguicidas sintéticos como método principal de control de plagas, con el objetivo de mejorar la calidad de los productos agrícolas.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract Bioinsecticides are compounds based on microbes or secondary plant metabolites, with insecticidal and insectistatic activity for the controlling of insects that are pests in economically important agricultural crops. This work highlights their usefulness for pest control, methods of isolation, multiplication, and formulation. Advances in the development of bioinsecticides are a sustainable strategy for insect control and do not pose a threat to plant or human health. Studies for their production continue in the search for new strains and metabolites with bioinsecticide potential, as well as new sources of nutrients, improvement of growth variables, formulation, and application technologies, to reduce or eliminate the use of synthetic pesticides as the main method of pest control, with the aim of improving the quality of agricultural products]]></p></abstract>
