Se buscó correlacionar ambas variables. Asimismo, se relacionó cada año académico con la presencia de docentes motivadores y desmotivadores. También se evaluó el desempeño académico entre alumnos regulares e irregulares, hombres y mujeres, y entre los años académicos. Participaron 447 estudiantes de una universidad pública mexicana. Se aplicaron pruebas Chi Cuadrada, Mann-Whitney y correlaciones en SPSSv25. Todas las pruebas resultaron significativas (p&lt;.05) con excepción de la correlación entre influencia docente motivadora y rendimiento académico. Durante el primer y segundo año se reportó menos influencia docente positiva o negativa con más alumnos regulares. Tanto los alumnos de segundo año como las mujeres obtuvieron los mayores promedios.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The research explores teaching influence and academic achievement through various angles. We sought to correlate both variables. Likewise, each academic year was related to the presence of motivating and demotivating teachers. Academic performance among regular and irregular students, men and women, and between academic years was also evaluated. 447 students from a Mexican public university participated. Chi Square, Mann-Whitney tests and correlations in SPSSv25 were applied. All the tests were significant (p &lt;.05) with the exception of the correlation between motivating teaching influence and academic performance. During the first and second year, less positive or negative teaching influence was reported with more regular students. Both second-year students and women had the highest averages.]]></p></abstract>
