Sus políticas de diversidad e inclusión son producto de los avances de la sociedad. El objetivo de esta investigación es realizar un análisis bibliométrico sobre diversidad e inclusión desde la perspectiva de la universidad. La metodología empleada responde al tipo cuantitativa, de alcance descriptiva y corte transversal, se recurrió al análisis bibliométrico con información de las bases de Scopus del periodo comprendido de 2005 a 2024. Los resultados de esta investigación demostraron que países como Estados Unidos, Reino Unido, Canadá y Finlandia han contribuido al conocimiento sobre las experiencias de adoptar la diversidad e inclusión dentro de sus procesos internos. Las conclusiones invitan a los investigadores y las universidades de Latinoamérica, a construir conocimiento sobre la experiencia de la diversidad e inclusión en las universidades de la región. Estas instituciones educativas deben integrar la diversidad e inclusión en su misión, visión y valores, difundiéndolos en la comunidad estudiantil. Es clave capacitar al profesorado en problemáticas como desigualdad y discriminación, promoviendo valores como respeto y empatía. Además, se deben adaptar infraestructuras con accesibilidad y tecnologías de apoyo para estudiantes con necesidades específicas. Es fundamental cumplir con normativas de inclusión y accesibilidad para garantizar igualdad de oportunidades que permita impactar en cimentar una sociedad más justa, equitativa y diversa desde la Educación Superior.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract In a diverse, globalized, and dynamic world, universities have had to adapt to the needs of their environment, with their diversity and inclusion policies being a result of societal advancements. The objective of this research is to conduct a bibliometric analysis of diversity and inclusion from the university perspective. The methodology used is quantitative, with a descriptive scope and a cross-sectional approach, relying on bibliometric analysis using data from the Scopus database for the period 2005 to 2024. The results show that countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Finland have contributed to the knowledge on experiences of adopting diversity and inclusion within their internal processes. The conclusions encourage researchers and universities in Latin America, to generate knowledge about diversity and inclusion experiences in universities in the region. These educational institutions must integrate diversity and inclusion into their mission, vision, and values, disseminating them within the student community. It is crucial to train faculty on issues such as inequality and discrimination while promoting values like respect and empathy. Additionally, infrastructure must be adapted with accessibility and assistive technologies for students with specific needs. Compliance with inclusion and accessibility regulations is essential to ensuring equal opportunities and contributing to the foundation of a more just, equitable, and diverse society through higher education.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[Resumo Em um mundo diverso, globalizado e dinâmico, as universidades tiveram que se adaptar às necessidades do ambiente, sendo suas políticas de diversidade e inclusão resultado dos avanços da sociedade. O objetivo desta pesquisa é realizar uma análise bibliométrica sobre diversidade e inclusão a partir da perspectiva universitária. A metodologia utilizada é quantitativa, com abordagem descritiva e transversal, baseada na análise bibliométrica com dados da base Scopus no período de 2005 a 2024. Os resultados mostram que países como Estados Unidos, Reino Unido, Canadá e Finlândia têm contribuído para o conhecimento sobre as experiências de adoção da diversidade e inclusão em seus processos internos. As conclusões incentivam pesquisadores e universidades da América Latina, a gerar conhecimento sobre as experiências de diversidade e inclusão nas universidades da região. Essas instituições de ensino devem integrar a diversidade e a inclusão em sua missão, visão e valores, disseminando-os na comunidade estudantil. É essencial capacitar o corpo docente sobre questões como desigualdade e discriminação, promovendo valores como respeito e empatia. Além disso, deve-se adaptar a infraestrutura com acessibilidade e tecnologias assistivas para estudantes com necessidades específicas. O cumprimento das normas de inclusão e acessibilidade é fundamental para garantir a igualdade de oportunidades e contribuir para a construção de uma sociedade mais justa, equitativa e diversa por meio do ensino superior.]]></p></abstract>
