En este sentido, la estrategia de considerar las percepciones de los estudiantes se convierte en un mecanismo para valorar la eficacia educativa. El propósito de este estudio fue conocer la percepción de los estudiantes sobre su satisfacción académica en un programa educativo de reciente creación en una universidad pública mexicana. Se adoptó un enfoque cuantitativo, aplicando una encuesta de 40 reactivos en escala Likert, organizada en tres dimensiones: Infraestructura y servicios de apoyo, Programa educativo y Sentido de pertenencia. La muestra incluyó 121 de 138 estudiantes del programa, de los cuales, 50,4 % eran mujeres y 49,6 % hombres. El procesamiento de los datos se realizó considerando las variables de sexo, rango de edad y semestre, utilizando estadística descriptiva e inferencial. Los resultados descriptivos sobre las percepciones de los jóvenes muestran una postura indiferente en cuatro de cada diez estudiantes en al menos la mitad de los reactivos. No se encontraron diferencias significativas por sexo o edad, pero sí resultados heterogéneos por semestre: 11 reactivos mostraron diferencias significativas, mientras que 29 no. En conclusión, se hace evidente la necesidad de mejoras en infraestructura, recursos tecnológicos, apoyo al desarrollo profesional, servicios de apoyo y sentido de pertenencia. Además, la prevalencia de la indiferencia estudiantil sugiere la implementación de estrategias focalizadas para revitalizar el compromiso y la satisfacción académica en el programa.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The purpose of this study was to explore students' perceptions of their academic satisfaction in a recently created educational program in a Mexican public university. For this purpose, a quantitative approach was adopted through the application of a survey consisting of 40 statements organized in three dimensions: Infrastructure and support services, Educational program and Sense of belonging assessed using a Likert scale. The population of this program amounts to 138 students, a sample of 121 students was reached, of which, 50.4 % were female and 49.6 % male. Data processing was performed considering the variables of gender, age range, and semester using descriptive and inferential statistics. The descriptive results on the perceptions of students show an indifferent posture in four out of ten students in at least half of the statements. To reverse this situation, should be implemented to increase students' motivation and commitment to the educational program. Regarding the hypothesis testing, no significant differences were found in most statements for the variables gender and age range. However, for the variable semester, the Kruskal-Wallis test revealed mixed results: 11 statements showed significant differences, while 29 did not. The results indicate the need to improve infrastructure, technological resources, professional development support for both students and faculty, optimize support services, and foster a sense of belonging among students.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[Resumo A avaliação da satisfação acadêmica é um aspecto fundamental para a melhoria contínua dos programas educacionais. Nesse sentido, a estratégia de considerar as percepções dos alunos torna-se um mecanismo para avaliar a eficácia educacional. O objetivo deste estudo foi compreender as percepções dos alunos sobre sua satisfação acadêmica em um programa educacional recentemente estabelecido em uma universidade pública mexicana. Foi adotada uma abordagem quantitativa, aplicando uma pesquisa em escala Likert de 40 itens organizada em três dimensões: Infraestrutura e serviços de apoio, Programa educacional e Sentimento de pertencimento. A amostra incluiu 121 dos 138 alunos do programa, dos quais 50,4% eram mulheres e 49,6% eram homens. O processamento dos dados foi realizado considerando as variáveis sexo, faixa etária e semestre, utilizando estatísticas descritivas e inferenciais. Os resultados descritivos sobre as percepções dos jovens mostram uma atitude indiferente entre quatro em cada dez alunos em pelo menos metade das questões. Não foram encontradas diferenças significativas por sexo ou idade, mas resultados heterogêneos foram encontrados por semestre: 11 itens apresentaram diferenças significativas, enquanto 29 não. Concluindo, é evidente a necessidade de melhorias em infraestrutura, recursos tecnológicos, apoio ao desenvolvimento profissional, serviços de apoio e senso de pertencimento. Além disso, a prevalência da indiferença estudantil sugere a implementação de estratégias direcionadas para revitalizar o engajamento e a satisfação acadêmica no programa.]]></p></abstract>
