Se analizaron niños con y sin discalculia, mostrando que quienes presentan este trastorno tienen mayor actividad en las ondas theta y menor en las ondas gamma, lo que sugiere alteraciones en atención y funciones cognitivas. El EEG se propone como herramienta útil para el diagnóstico temprano y el diseño de intervenciones educativas específicas que permitan la inclusión matemática.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The article explores the detection of dyscalculia using electroencephalograms (EEG), highlighting differences in theta and gamma brain waves as indicators of this learning disorder. Children with and without dyscalculia were analyzed, showing that those with the condition exhibit higher theta activity and lower gamma activity, suggesting alterations in attention and cognitive functions. EEG is proposed as a valuable tool for early diagnosis and the design of specific educational interventions.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[Resumo Este artigo explora a detecção de discalculia por meio de eletroencefalogramas (EEG), destacando diferenças nas ondas cerebrais teta e gama como indicadores desse transtorno de aprendizagem. Crianças com e sem discalculia foram analisadas, mostrando que aquelas com esse transtorno apresentam maior atividade nas ondas teta e menor nas ondas gama, sugerindo alterações na atenção e nas funções cognitivas. O EEG é proposto como uma ferramenta útil para o diagnóstico precoce e o planejamento de intervenções educacionais específicas que apoiem a inclusão na matemática.]]></p></abstract>
