Materiales y métodos: Se realizó un análisis siguiendo los lineamientos de la guía PRISMA en las bases de datos de PubMed, Cochrane y Redalyc, las palabras claves utilizadas fueron infertilidad masculina o male infertility, estrés fisiológico o physiological stress, nutrición o nutrition, fertilidad o fertility. La búsqueda se realizó de diciembre de 2019 a enero de 2023.  Resultados: Los buscadores utilizados para realizar nuestra busqueda fueron PubMed, Redalyc y Cochrane. En estos buscadores, al implementar la declaración PRISMA, se obtuvieron 664 artículos. Tras excluir duplicas, el total fue de 312. Se eliminaron 100 asociados a COVID-19. También, se limitaron a aquellos que no estuvieran relacionados con alguna otra patología como diabetes, hipertensión, cáncer, enfermedades cardiacas, etc.; teniendo así, un total de 128 artículos. De ellos, se eliminaron 70 artículos más que correspondían a revisiones sistemáticas. Finalmente, se aplicaron los criterios de inclusión y exclusión, resultando en un total de 4 artículos.  Conclusiones:  Las evidencias científicas muestran que una inadecuada nutrición se asocia con un aumento en los niveles de estrés, mismo que puede derivar en infertilidad; sin embargo la evidencia para ello sigue siendo limitada debido a que es un área poco estudiada.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract  Objective:  We are interested in the scientific evidence of the impact of nutrient supplementation and physiological stress on male fertility.  Materials and methods:  An analysis was carried out following the guidelines of the PRISMA guide in the databases of PubMed, Cochrane, and Redalyc, the keywords used were male infertility, physiological stress, nutrition, and fertility. or fertility. The search was carried out from December 2019 to January 2023.  Results:  The search engines used to conduct our search were PubMed, Redalyc, and Cochrane. These search engines, implementing the PRISMA declaration, yielded 664 articles. After excluding duplicates, the total was 312. We eliminated 100 articles associated with COVID-19. We also limited the search to those not related to any other pathology such as diabetes, hypertension, cancer, heart disease, etc., resulting in a total of 128 articles. Of these, 70 articles corresponding to systematic reviews were eliminated. Finally, the inclusion and exclusion criteria were applied, resulting in a total of 4 articles.  Conclusions:  Scientific evidence shows that poor nutrition is associated with increased stress levels, which can lead to infertility; however, the evidence for this remains limited because it is an understudied area.]]></p></abstract>
