</abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en">
Abstract This article aims to analyze the Foreign Policy of China in the Korean War based on a constructivist theoretical approach. So, I analyze the relationship between China’s identities and interests and its impact on the Chinese political elite to decide their participation in the Korean War. I employ documentary research to examine the relationship between China’s identities and interests and its impact on the Chinese political elite. As a result of the research, I conclude how the reformulation of identities reflects the mutually constitutive relationship between material and non-material structures. In this way, this article provides some elements to understand how in the decision-making of Foreign Policy the identity also influences the decisions and actions of the leaders.
</abstract>
