Al ser incorporada en la formación de estudiantes de salud, fortalece la confianza y seguridad para enfrentar sus prácticas en el área clínica. Incorporar temáticas de enfoque de género es relevante en el pregrado y se debe orientar la atención de pacientes con esta perspectiva.  Objetivo Determinar la calidad y satisfacción de los estudiantes de la carrera de nutrición y dietética al implementar un escenario de simulación clínica de alta fidelidad con enfoque de género en la asignatura de dietoterapia del adulto II.  Método Enfoque mixto, exploratorio, descriptivo y de corte transversal, muestreo no probabilístico intencional. La muestra consistió en 36 estudiantes que aceptaron participar a través del consentimiento informado.  Resultados La encuesta de calidad y satisfacción de la simulación clínica y autoevaluación, destacó un alto grado de satisfacción alcanzando un 93.54%. En cuanto a su propio desempeño, el 92.67% de los estudiantes manifestó estar de &#8220;acuerdo&#8221; o &#8220;muy de acuerdo&#8221; con este. Respecto al análisis del discurso, el aprendizaje fue relacionado con las habilidades desarrolladas, la confianza y el ambiente seguro, asociado a la experiencia práctica, favoreciendo la comunicación efectiva. El enfoque de género fue relacionado con los conceptos de: experiencia positiva, nueva experiencia y espacio de cercanía con el paciente.  Conclusiones La simulación clínica contribuyó significativamente a la mejora de habilidades como el razonamiento clínico y competencias esenciales como la atención con enfoque de género y comunicación efectiva, fortaleciendo la autoconfianza en las capacidades y desempeño de los estudiantes. Se sugiere profundizar en futuras investigaciones la incorporación del enfoque de género en la formación de profesionales del área de la salud.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract  Introduction High-fidelity clinical simulation is characterized by the use of standardized technology and/or patients in a realistic scenario. Being incorporated into the training of health students strengthens the confidence and security to face their practices in the clinical area. Incorporating gender issues is relevant in undergraduate studies and patient care should be guided from this perspective.  Objective To determine the quality and satisfaction of the students of the nutrition and dietetics career by implementing a scenario of high-fidelity clinical simulation with a gender focus in the subject of adult diet therapy II.  Method Mixed, exploratory, descriptive and cross-sectional approach, intentional non-probability sampling. The sample consisted of 36 students who agreed to participate through informed consent.  Results The survey of quality and satisfaction of clinical simulation and self-evaluation, highlighted a high degree of satisfaction reaching 93.54%. As for their own performance, 92.67% of students said they &#8220;agree&#8221; or &#8220;strongly agree&#8221; with it. Regarding discourse analysis, learning was related to the skills developed, confidence and safe environment, associated with practical experience, favoring effective communication. The gender approach was related to the concepts of: positive experience, new experience and space of closeness with the patient.  Conclusions The clinical simulation contributed significantly to the improvement of skills such as clinical reasoning and essential competencies such as attention with a gender focus and effective communication, strengthening self-confidence in the abilities and performance of students. It is suggested to deepen in future research the incorporation of the gender approach in the training of health professionals.]]></p></abstract>
