<self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S2007-50572022000400067&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S2007-50572022000400067&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S2007-50572022000400067&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen  Introducción:  El aprendizaje basado en problemas (ABP) es una de las metodologías de enseñanza utilizadas en la formación de profesionales de la salud, en la cual los estudiantes son expuestos a la resolución de casos clínicos para lograr los objetivos educativos; sin embargo, la evidencia sobre la calidad de los casos en la enseñanza de los fisioterapeutas es escasa.  Objetivo:  Evaluar la calidad de cuatro casos clínicos empleados en la enseñanza de la fisioterapia con base en la opinión de los estudiantes y profesores.  Método:  Estudio transversal analítico que evaluó, a través de un instrumento validado, la calidad del contenido y estructura de cuatro casos utilizados por los estudiantes de la licenciatura en fisioterapia de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.  Resultados:  El instrumento no se comportó igual en los estudiantes y en los profesores, los estudiantes identificaron un factor para los cuatro casos, mientras que los profesores identificaron dos factores relacionados con habilidades de aprendizaje y conocimiento previo. El puntaje global de cumplimiento de las características fue mayor a cuatro, tanto en estudiantes como en profesores, ya que los consideraron de buena calidad.  Conclusiones:  La opinión de profesores y alumnos aporta información valiosa sobre la utilidad de los casos clínicos; sin embargo, resulta relevante considerar la evaluación objetiva del desempeño de los estudiantes en la práctica real.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract  Introduction:  Problem-based learning (PBL) is one of the teaching methodologies used in the training of health professionals; the importance of the structure and content of the clinical cases to which the students are exposed to achieve the educational objectives has been previously described; however, the evidence on its quality in the teaching of physiotherapists is scarce.  Objective:  To evaluate the quality of four clinical cases used in the teaching of physiotherapy based on the opinion of students and teachers.  Method:  A cross-sectional analytical study that evaluated, through a validated questionnaire, the quality of the content and structure of four cases used by students of the physiotherapy degree at the National Autonomous University of Mexico.  Results:  The instrument did not perform equally well for physiotherapy students, with students identifying one factor for all four cases, while teachers identified two factors related to learning skills and prior knowledge. The overall score of compliance with the characteristics was higher than four for both students and teachers (as they considered them to be of good quality).  Conclusions:  The opinion of teachers and students provides valuable information on the usefulness of the clinical cases used; however, it demands an objective evaluation of the performance of the students in real clinical practice.]]></p></abstract>
