Objetivo:  Evaluar desde la percepción del estudiante la implementación del aprendizaje servicio dentro de la carrera de kinesiología de la Universidad Católica de la Santísima Concepción, específicamente en la actividad curricular denominada práctica clínica.  Método:  Estudio de carácter mixto de corte transversal y descriptivo. Para la recolección de los datos se utilizó una encuesta de satisfacción tipo Likert del Centro de Innovación y Desarrollo Docente de la Universidad Católica de la Santísima Concepción, más una encuesta semiestructurada para la obtención de los datos cualitativos. La muestra comprendió a estudiantes participantes de la implementación de la metodología aprendizaje servicio.  Resultados:  Los estudiantes mostraron un alto grado de satisfacción a la metodología aprendizaje servicio (superiores al 80%). La satisfacción más baja (67.9%) se observó en el aspecto referido a la implementación de la metodología aprendizaje servicio. Los estudiantes perciben haber logrado identificar su rol como kinesiólogos al trabajar en contextos reales.  Conclusiones:  El aprendizaje servicio impacta positivamente en el aprendizaje de los estudiantes y beneficia a la comunidad. El aprendizaje servicio es una metodología activa que se recomienda implementar dentro de los planes de estudio de la carrera de kinesiología, ya que permite, además de un aprendizaje en un contexto real, desarrollar los valores y principios de la institución.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract  Introduction:  Service learning is an active methodology in which students apply their theoretical knowledge in real contexts for the benefit of the community and their own learning.  Objective:  Evaluate from the perception of the student the implementation of service learning within the Universidad Católica de la Santísima Concepción kinesiology career, specifically in the curricular activity called clinical practice.  Method:  Mixed, cross-sectional and descriptive study. For data collection, a Likert-type satisfaction survey was used from the Centro de Innovación y Desarrollo Docente of the Universidad Católica de la Santísima Concepción, plus a semi-structural survey to obtain qualitative data. The sample comprised students participating in the implementation of the service learning methodology.  Results:  Students show a high degree of satisfaction with the service learning methodology (approximately 80%). The lowest satisfaction 67.9% was observed in the aspect referred to the implementation of the service-learning methodology. Students perceive having been able to identify their role as kinesiologists by working in real contexts.  Conclusions:  Service learning positively impacts student learning and benefits the community. The service learning is an active methodology that is recommended to be implemented within the curricula of the kinesiology career since it also allows learning in a real context to develop the values and principles of the institution.]]></p></abstract>
