Objetivo:  Determinar las actitudes hacia la pandemia por la COVID-19 y su relación con la resiliencia en estudiantes de medicina a inicios de la cuarentena en Perú.  Método: Se realizó un estudio transversal analítico en estudiantes de medicina de dos universidades de la ciudad de Ica en Perú. Las preguntas referidas a las actitudes hacia la pandemia fueron elaboradas por los autores y la resiliencia fue medida a través de la versión en español de la escala de resiliencia de Connor-Davidson (CD-RISC-10).  Resultados:  Se incluyeron 431 encuestas virtuales correctamente llenadas. Los estudiantes con actitudes positivas hacia la pandemia tuvieron puntajes más elevados de resiliencia (p &lt; 0.05). La mediana global de resiliencia fue de 31 (RIC: 27-35) y la correlación entre el puntaje total de las actitudes positivas y el puntaje total de la resiliencia fue positiva, baja, pero altamente significativa (Rho de Spearman = 0.34, p &lt; 0.001).  Conclusiones: A inicios de la cuarentena por la COVID-19 en Perú, los estudiantes de medicina de la ciudad de Ica tenían actitudes positivas hacia la evolución de la pandemia. Estas actitudes positivas se correlacionaron significativamente con los niveles de resiliencia.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract  Introduction: Medical students are one of the population groups most affected by COVID-19.  Objective:  To determine attitudes towards the COVID-19 pandemic and their relationship with resilience in medical students at the beginning of the quarantine in Peru.  Methods:  An analytical cross-sectional study was carried out in medical students from two universities in the city of Ica in Peru. The questions referring to attitudes towards the pandemic were elaborated by the authors and resilience was measured through the Spanish version of the Connor-Davidson resilience scale (CD-RISC-10).  Results:  431 correctly completed virtual surveys were included. Students with positive attitudes toward the pandemic had higher resilience scores (p &lt; 0.05). The overall median resilience score was 31 (IQR: 27-35) and the correlation between positive attitudes total score and resilience total score was positive, low, but highly significant (Spearman's Rho = 0.34, p &lt; 0.001).  Conclusions:  At the beginning of the COVID-19 quarantine in Peru, medical students in the city of Ica had positive attitudes toward the evolution of the pandemic. These positive attitudes were significantly correlated with levels of resilience.]]></p></abstract>
