Sin embargo, en algunos rubros el conocimiento es escaso y aislado, además, no hay trabajos que integren y aporten nueva información sobre la biología de esta especie.  Preguntas: ¿Cuánto sabemos sobre la biología de A. subulata? ¿Los registros de iNaturalistMX complementan la información sobre la distribución de A. subulata? ¿Quiénes son los visitantes florales y cuál es el posible síndrome de polinización?  Especies de estudio: Asclepias subulata.  Sitio de estudio: México y Estados Unidos.  Métodos: El estudio de la morfología, fenología, distribución de la especie y sus interacciones se hizo con la revisión de ejemplares de herbario en físico y digitales, así como fuentes de información digitales, como ciencia ciudadana. El estado de conservación se calculó usando los criterios de la Unión Internacional para la Conservación de la Naturaleza.  Resultados: Se presenta una descripción de la especie, su distribución, fenología, estado de conservación e interacciones. Algunos de estos datos se registran por primera vez en toda la distribución conocida. Las flores de A. subulata son visitadas por miembros de Hymenoptera, Coleoptera, Diptera y Lepidoptera. Entre ellos, sus potenciales polinizadores son miembros de las familias Scoliidae, Apidae y Pompilidae, principalmente el género Pepsis.  Conclusiones:  La integración del conocimiento de las colecciones científicas y de la ciencia ciudadana contribuye al estudio de diversos organismos. En este trabajo, el análisis de las fuentes de información complementó y aportó nuevo conocimiento a la biología de A. subulata.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract  Background: Asclepias subulata has been studied in different aspects of its systematics, phylogeny, distribution, and interactions. However, in some areas the knowledge is scarce and isolated, and there are no works that integrate and provide new information on the biology of this species.  Questions: How much do we know about the biology of A. subulata? Does the information from iNaturalistMX complements the information about the distribution of A. subulata? Who are the floral visitors and which is its possible pollination syndrome?  Study species: Asclepias subulate.  Site of study: Mexico and USA.  Method: The morphologic, phenologic, distribution and interactions study of the species were obtained through the revision of physical and digital herbarium specimens, as well as digital source of information as citizen science. The conservation status was calculated using the criteria from the International Union for Conservation of Nature.  Results: A description of the species, its distribution, phenology, conservation status and interactions were recorded for the first time in all its distribution. The flowers of A. subulata are visited by members of Hymenoptera, Coleoptera, Diptera and Lepidoptera. Among them, members from the families Scoliidae, Apidae, and Pompilidae, mostly from the genus Pepsis are their potential pollinators.  Conclusions: The integration from the knowledge of scientific collections and citizen science contributed to the study of multiple organisms. In this work, the analysis of multiple sources of information complements and contributes with new knowledge to the biology of A. subulata.]]></p></abstract>
