Es crucial estudiar su relación con la temperatura, humedad, precipitación y la vegetación.  Preguntas: ¿Los macrohongos en selvas tropicales subhúmedas presentan patrones de formación de esporomas relacionados con variables ambientales? ¿Existe correlación entre variables ambientales y la riqueza o abundancia de macrohongos? ¿Qué factores ambientales se correlacionan más con los macrohongos?  Descripción de datos: Riqueza, abundancia, variables ambientales, composición vegetal y patrones de formación de esporomas de macrohongos en una selva mediana subperennifolia tropical.  Sitio y años de estudio: Allende, Othón P. Blanco, Quintana Roo, junio-noviembre 2023.  Métodos: Se recolectaron macrohongos y se midieron variables ambientales, el estudio se complementó con el análisis de la composición y estructura arbórea. La diversidad de macrohongos se evaluó con el índice de diversidad verdadera del orden q = 2. Las correlaciones entre macrohongos y variables ambientales se evaluaron con el análisis de correspondencia canónica y la correlación de Spearman.  Resultados: Se recolectaron 1,234 esporomas, pertenecientes a 118 taxones, el 35.59 % fueron identificados a especie, con un esfuerzo de muestreo significativo. Basidiomycota dominó la comunidad con una producción de esporomas máxima en septiembre. Se reporta Marasmius elegans como nuevo registro para Quintana Roo. La riqueza de especies se correlacionó positivamente con la humedad del suelo y negativamente con la temperatura.  Conclusiones: Existe una influencia de las condiciones ambientales en las comunidades de macrohongos, subrayando la necesidad de investigar la diversidad fúngica ante el cambio climático y pérdida de hábitats.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract  Background:  Climate change has altered the phenology and interactions of species, including macrofungi. It is crucial to study dynamics in response to temperature, humidity, precipitation, and vegetation.  Research Questions:  Do fungi in subtropical rainforests exhibit fruiting patterns related to environmental variables? Is there correlation between environmental variables and the richness or abundance of macrofungi? Which environmental factors are most strongly correlated with macrofungi?  Data Description:  Richness, abundance, environmental variables, vegetation composition, and fruiting patterns of macrofungi in a tropical medium-subperennial rainforest.  Study Site and Years:  Ejido Allende, Othón P. Blanco, Quintana Roo, June-November 2023.  Methods:  We collected macrofungi and measured environmental variables. An analysis of tree composition and structure was conducted. The true diversity index (q = 2) was used to assess macrofungal diversity. Correlations between macrofungi and environmental variables were evaluated using canonical correspondence analysis and Spearman&#8217;s correlation.  Results:  1,234 sporocarps were collected, belonging to 118 taxa, with 35.59 % identified at the species level: the sampling effort was significant. Basidiomycota dominated the community, with peak fruiting in September. We report Marasmius elegans as a new record for Quintana Roo. Species richness was positively correlated with soil moisture and negatively with temperature.
