CPr Lograr un diagnóstico temprano es la prioridad de todos los estudios de tamizaje en la actualidad.  Caso Clínico:  Masculino de 63 años de edad con antígeno prostático específico (APE) de 8.2 ng/ml, tacto rectal no sospechoso y una biopsia de próstata previa negativa a patología maligna. Se envía una resonancia magnética multiparamétrica (RMm) de próstata en la que se identifica un patrón PI-RADS 4 por lo cual se decide realizar una biopsia de próstata guiada por ultrasonido transrectal y fusión de imagen de resonancia magnética (BPUT-RMm) con sistema Artemis. Se realizaron 4 tomas del sitio sospechoso y se logró diagnosticar un adenocarcinoma de próstata Gleason 7 (4+3).  Conclusiones:  Con el apoyo de la BPUT-RMm con sistema Artemis en el tamizaje de CPR se logra aumentar la probabilidad de identificar lesiones clínicamente significativas, disminuir el sobre tratamiento, disminuir el número de cilindros tomados y aumentar la probabilidad de identificar un CPr en un paciente ya biopsiado en comparación a una técnica convencional.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract  Background:  Prostate cancer is one of the main oncologic pathologies in males. Close to 1 out of every 7 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer at some point in their lives. Early diagnosis is currently the priority of all screening methods.  Clinical report:  A 63-year-old man had a prostate-specific antigen value of 8.2 ng/ml, a non-suspicious digital rectal examination, and a previous prostate biopsy that was negative for malignant pathology. He was referred for a multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging scan of the prostate, which identified a PI-RADS 4 pattern. Magnetic resonance imaging/transrectal ultrasound (MRI/TRUS) image-guided fusion biopsy with the Artemis system was performed. Four cores were taken from the suspicious site, resulting in the diagnosis of adenocarcinoma of the prostate, with a Gleason score of 7 (4+3).  Conclusion:  Through the aid of the Artemis MRI/TRUS image-guided fusion biopsy system in prostate cancer screening, the probability of identifying clinically significant lesions can be increased, the number of cores taken can be reduced, and the probability of identifying prostate cancer in a previously biopsied patient can also be increased, compared with a conventional technique.]]></p></abstract>
