This has caused huge losses to the tourism industry, so different approaches have been devised for economic reactivation. This article aims to provide a novel strategy for mass molecular monitoring of clinically healthy individuals, and also including potentially asymptomatic carriers of SARS-CoV-2, who traveled to a tourist resort The monitoring consisted of collecting individual saliva samples (n=120) and conforming groups of 10 samples, thus setting 12 individual pools, which were analyzed by qRT-PCR. Obtained data showed that all the samples analyzed were negative, thus confirming that no individuals were infected with SARS-CoV-2 before and during the travel. The proposed molecular protocol allowed the analysis of massive saliva samples and detect individual infected persons (negative or positive). protocol for evaluate massive event, thus promoting the economic activation of the tourism industry.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN La pandemia ha causado una disminución en la actividad turística afectado económicamente esta industria, en este sentido, se han planteado diferentes propuestas para reactivar esta actividad. Este articulo tiene como objetivo ofrecer una metodología para el monitoreo masivo de sujetos clínicamente sanos, incluyendo también portadores asintomáticos de SARS-CoV-2, que viajaron a un complejo turístico. El protocolo de monitoreo consiste en colectar muestra individual de saliva (n=120) y formar pools de 10 personas. Se analizaron un total de 12 pools, mediante RT-PCR (&#8220;Real-Time Polimerase Chain Reaction&#8221;). Los resultados mostraron que todas las muestras analizadas fueron negativas, esto indica que ningún individuo estaba infectado por SARS-CoV-2 antes y después del viaje. El protocolo molecular propuesto permite evaluar masivamente gran cantidad de muestras de saliva y detectar individualmente infectados (negativos o positivos), esto con el fin de promover activación de la industria turística.]]></p></abstract>
