One hundred and two sampling points were selected, distributed in three transects, each involving the different beach ridges, as well as mounts and depressions (inter-bars). Each soil sample was analyzed for pH, ECe, texture, organic matter, cations and anions. They were organized by geoforms and basic statistics were obtained, such as mean, median, standard deviation, coefficient of variation and extreme values. The highest values of salinity, organic matter and clay were confirmed to be registered in geoforms of lower altitude by the influence of tidal and fluvial flooding, whereas geoforms of higher altitude such as coastal beach, dune and non-floodable high beach ridges had the highest values of sand and the lowest in clay, organic matter and salinity.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen Se realizó la delimitación de geoformas de las barras costeras por medio de reconocimiento de campo y apoyo de imágenes satelitales en Marismas Nacionales de México. Se seleccionaron 102 puntos de muestreo, distribuidos en tres transectos que involucran las distintas barras costeras, así como lomas y depresiones (interbarras). A cada muestra de suelo se le efectuó análisis de pH, conductividad eléctrica del extracto, textura, materia orgánica, cationes y aniones. Se organizaron por geoformas y se obtuvieron estadísticos básicos como son la media, mediana, desviación estándar, coeficiente de variación y valores extremos. Se confirma que los valores más elevados de salinidad, materia orgánica y de arcilla se registran en las geoformas de menor altitud por la influencia de la inundación mareal y fluvial, mientras que en las geoformas de mayor altitud como son la playa y duna costera y la barra alta no inundable tienen los valores más altos de arena y los más bajos en arcilla, materia orgánica y salinidad.]]></p></abstract>
