El artículo toma una muestra de 968 jóvenes, resultado de la selección de estudiantes que presentaron las pruebas de Estado Saber 11 (año 2006) y Saber Pro (años 2012 a 2018). El estudio es longitudinal de tipo panel. Se realiza un análisis de regresión de variables categóricas, obteniendo como resultado que, aunque exista una influencia directa en las motivaciones personales en la selección de carreras profesionales, se encuentra que hay una baja probabilidad de que los estudiantes logren estudiar en las carreras deseadas.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[Resumo O artigo apresenta a análise das trajetórias educativas dos jovens em relação à sua posição social e sua disposição, definida pela perspectiva de tempo futuro de cada aluno, em comparação com sua realização na vida universitária. O artigo toma uma amostra de 968 jovens, resultado da seleção de alunos que apresentaram as provas de Estado Saber 11 (2006) e Saber-Pro (2012 a 2018). O estudo é do tipo de painel longitudinal. É realizada uma análise de regressão das variáveis categóricas, obtendo como resultado que, embora haja influência direta sobre as motivações pessoais na seleção de carreiras profissionais, constata-se que há uma baixa probabilidade de que os alunos possam estudar nas carreiras desejadas.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This article presents the analysis of the educational trajectories of young people in relation to their social status and their disposition, defined by the future time perspective of each student, compared to their performance in university life. The article takes a sample of 968 young people, resulting from the selection of students who took the Saber 11 (2006) and Saber-Pro (2012 to 2018) government tests. The study is a longitudinal panel study in which a regression analysis of categorical variables is performed, obtaining as a result that, although there is a direct influence of personal motivations in the selection of professional careers, there is a low probability that students achieve to enroll in the career they want to.]]></p></abstract>
