Se plantea la hipótesis de que el pasaje incompleto por la universidad puede brindar herramientas para un mejor posicionamiento socioeconómico respecto al de quienes no tienen estudios universitarios, aunque tal posicionamiento no alcance al de un egresado universitario. Los logros concebidos como indicadores de bienestar socioeconómico fueron la existencia de hacinamiento en el hogar, la posesión de determinados elementos de confort, los ingresos mensuales y la tenencia de vivienda. Se utilizó el Análisis de correspondencias múltiples (ACM) para determinar si las variables de elementos de confort conformaban una dimensión, ANOVA para estudiar la variación del confort medio y de los ingresos medios entre las categorías de estudios y el test Z de comparación de proporciones para examinar la relación entre categoría de estudios y género. Los resultados fueron consistentes con la hipótesis planteada.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[Resumo: Neste trabalho se analisam comparativamente certas conquistas associadas ao bem-estar socioeconômico de estudantes que abandonaram o sistema universitário com as conquistas de universitários formados, graduados de outros estudos terciários e graduados de educação média. Apresenta-se a hipóteses de que a passagem incompleta pela universidade pode brindar ferramentas para um melhor posicionamento socioeconômico com respeito ao daqueles que não têm estudos universitários, mesmo que tal posicionamento não alcance ao de um universitário graduado. As conquistas concebidas como indicadores de bem-estar socioeconômico foram a existência de acumulação de bens no lar, a posse de determinados elementos de confort, as rendas mensais e a posse de moradia. Se utilizou a Análise de correspondências múltiplas (ACM) para determinar se as variáveis de elementos de confort conformavam uma dimensão, ANOVA para estudar a variação do confort médio e da renda média entre as categorias de estudos e o test Z de comparação de proporções para examinar a relação entre categoria de estudos e gênero. Os resultados foram consistentes com a hipóteses apresentada.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: This work offers a comparative analysis of several achievements associated with the socioeconomic well-being of students who dropped out of the university school system with the achievements of students who completed their degrees or who graduated from tertiary education. The author&#8217;s hypothesis is that the incomplete passage through university studies can offer tools that help to improve the socioeconomic position compared to the students who have not been enrolled at the university, although this position does not catch up the attainments of student who actually completed their degree. The achievements that have been taken into account as indicators of socioeconomic wellbeing were the following ones: existence or absence of overcrowding at home, possession of certain comfort elements, monthly incomes and possession of a house or apartment. The author used the multiple correspondence analysis method to determine whether the variables of comfort elements made up a dimension or not and the analysis of variance methodology in order to study the variation of the average comfort and average incomes between the study categories, and finally a comparison test of proportions to analyze the relationship between the categories of study and gender. The results were consistent with the hypothesis that was put forward.]]></p></abstract>
