Para llevar a cabo este estudio se realizó una encuesta semiestructurada y con la información recabada se efectuó un modelo de ecuaciones estructurales que permitió explicar la forma en que los estudiantes clasifican sus percepciones sobre la calidad de diferentes factores que ofrecen este tipo de instituciones educativas. Entre los principales resultados se encontró que los estudiantes dan mayor peso a la formación y desarrollo integral que reciben por parte de la planta docente. Asimismo, valoran que sus universidades cuenten con instalaciones y equipo tecnológico de primer nivel.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[Neste artigo são apresentados resultados da análise de percepção da qualidade do ensino superior privado em Monterrey (Nuevo León, México). Para levar a cabo o presente estudo foi efetuada uma enquete semiestruturada e, com as informações obtidas, foi desenvolvido um modelo de equações estruturais que permitiu explicar a forma em que os estudantes classificam suas percepções sobre a qualidade de diferentes fatores oferecidos por este tipo de instituições educativas. Dentre os principais resultados, encontrou-se que os estudantes dão maior importância à formação e desenvolvimento integral que recebem por parte do quadro docente. Aliás, valorizam o fato das universidades contarem com instalações e equipamento tecnológico de primeiro nível.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[This article presents the results of an analysis of the perception of higher education quality in private universities in Monterrey (Nuevo León, Mexico). A semi-structured survey was performed and with the information collected structural equation modeling was completed to explain how students classify their perceipton towards different factors offered by this type of educational institutions. One of the main results was that students allocate more importance to holistic education and development received from the faculty. Likewise, they value that their universities have top level facilities and technological equipment.]]></p></abstract>
