Si bien la relación con la pintura es un rasgo común de su generación (Contemporáneos), se ahonda en aspectos que hacen singular su propuesta poética, lo cual se aborda mediante el concepto de écfrasis (Krieger 2000; Riffaterre 2000), por medio de las reflexiones de Vicente Quirarte (2014) y Elisa García Barragán (1994) en torno a la influencia de lo pictórico y del arte mesoamericano, respectivamente, en el corpus poético pelliceriano, y finalmente empleando la categorización que propone Jordi Julià (2002) de funciones de la pintura en la poesía de Guillermo Carnero, trasladadas según se considera pertinente a la obra del poeta mexicano.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The recreation of visual elements outstands in Carlos Pellicer&#8217;s poetry implying a constant presence of chromatic themes as a topic as well as a writing strategy. Even though the relation with painting is a constant in his generations: Contemporáneos, the ar ticle deepens in aspects that make his poetic approach unique. The visual topic is tackled by referring the concept of ekphrasis (Krieger 2000; Riffaterre 2000), Vicente Quirarte&#8217;s (2014) and Elisa García Barragán&#8217;s (1994) reflections on the influence of the pictorial dimension and Mesoamerican art, respectively, in the poet&#8217;s corpus. Finally, Jordi Julià&#8217;s (2002) categories of the functions of painting in Guillermo Carnero&#8217;s poetry conveyed accordingly to Pellicer&#8217;s work.]]></p></abstract>
