<self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S2007-11242025000400575&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S2007-11242025000400575&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S2007-11242025000400575&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen El objetivo fue evaluar la producción y contenido de materia seca (MS), composición bromatológica, digestibilidad y cinética de degradación de la MS y fibra detergente neutro (FDN), y la producción estimada de leche en el ensilado de híbridos de maíz de nervadura café (HNC) y convencionales (HCV). Los HCV produjeron 21 % más MS que los HNC (27.4 vs 22.5 t ha-1, respectivamente) y hubo un incremento al cosechar en R5 (25.7 t ha-1) comparado con R4 (24.3 t ha-1). La etapa de cosecha no afectó la digestibilidad de la MS o DFDN, pero el año y tipo de híbrido afectaron la fracción de FND no digestible (uFDN, % MS), la cual fue superior en 2020 (25.6 %) que en 2019 (13.8 %) y en HCV (22.6 %) que en HNC (16.8 %). En consecuencia, la producción de leche por tonelada de MS (LET) fue superior en 2019 y en HNC comparado con 2020 y en HCV. En contraste, el año no afectó la producción de leche por hectárea (LEHA) ya que la mayor producción de MS de 2020 compensó la caída en LET, pero la menor producción de MS en HNC redujo el valor de LEHA comparado con HCV (29.1 vs 32.5 t ha-1, respectivamente). El estimado de LEHA se incrementó al cosechar en etapa R5 (31.8 t ha-1) comparado con R4 (29.7 t ha-1). Aunque los HNC tuvieron mejor digestibilidad y más potencial de producción de leche por tonelada de MS, el mayor rendimiento de MS en HCV compensó la diferencia y se obtuvo más leche por hectárea.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The purpose was to evaluate the production and content of dry matter (DM), bromatological composition, digestibility and degradation kinetics of DM and neutral detergent fiber (NDF), and the estimated milk production in the silage from brown midrib corn hybrids (BMHs) and conventional corn hybrids (CVHs). CVHs produced 21 % more DM than BMHs (27.4 vs 22.5 t ha-1, respectively), and there was an increase when harvesting at stage R5 (25.7 t ha-1) compared to stage R4 (24.3 t ha-1). The harvest stage did not affect the digestibility of DM or NDFD but the year and type of hybrid affected the fraction of indigestible NDF (iNDF, % DM), which was higher in 2020 (25.6 %) than in 2019 (13.8 %) and in CVHs (22.6 %) than in BMHs (16.8 %). Consequently, milk production per ton of DM (MIT) was higher in 2019 and in BMHs compared to 2020 and CVHs. In contrast, the year did not affect milk production per hectare (MIHA) as the higher DM production in 2020 compensated for the drop in MIT, but the lower DM production in BMHs reduced the value of MIHA compared to CVHs (29.1 vs 32.5 t ha-1, respectively). The MIHA estimate increased when harvesting at stage R5 (31.8 t ha-1) compared to R4 (29.7 t ha-1). Although the BMHs had better digestibility and more milk production potential per ton of DM, the higher DM yield in CVHs compensated for the difference, and more milk was obtained per hectare.]]></p></abstract>
