<self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S2007-09342025000600401&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S2007-09342025000600401&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S2007-09342025000600401&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen La nueva variedad de sorgo Culiacán-09 se desarrolló a partir del año 2009 en el Campo Experimental Valle de Culiacán-Instituto Nacional de Investigaciones Forestales, Agrícolas y Pecuarias y registrada en el Catálogo Nacional de Variedades Vegetales del Servicio Nacional de Inspección y Certificación de Semillas con el número SOG-651-130423 y título de obtentor 3156. Esta variedad se adapta a las áreas productoras de sorgo para el estado de Sinaloa presentó mayor rendimiento y es tolerante a las principales plagas y enfermedades que afectan el cultivo en la región. Culiacán-09 es una variedad de grano color ámbar, se recomienda para riego y temporal, el rendimiento promedio es de 3.92 t ha-1 de grano y 29.6 t ha-1 de forraje verde. Culiacán-09 tiene mejor calidad bromatológica que los híbridos comerciales en el forraje, con 7% de proteína y 77% de digestibilidad, superó en promedio 26% y 31% respectivamente, a los híbridos comerciales. Es tolerante a enfermedades que se presentan en la región, como son: ergot, antracnosis, tizón de la panoja y pudrición carbonosa del tallo.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The new sorghum variety Culiacán-09 was developed in 2009 at the Valle de Culiacán Experimental Field-National Institute of Forestry, Agricultural, and Livestock Research and registered in the National Catalog of Plant Varieties of the National Seed Inspection and Certification Service with number SOG-651-130423 and breeder&#8217;s title 3156. This variety adapts to the sorghum-producing areas for the state of Sinaloa; it showed higher yields and is tolerant to the main pests and diseases that affect the crop in the region. Culiacán-09 is an amber-grained variety; it is recommended for irrigation and rainfed conditions; the average yield is 3.92 t ha-1 of grain and 29.6 t ha-1 of fresh forage. Culiacán-09 has better bromatological quality than commercial hybrids in forage, with 7% protein and 77% digestibility, it exceeded commercial hybrids by 26% and 31% on average, respectively. It is tolerant of diseases that are present in the region, such as ergot, anthracnose, panicle blight, and carbonaceous rot of the stem.]]></p></abstract>
