<self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S2007-09342025000500112&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S2007-09342025000500112&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S2007-09342025000500112&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen Ante la necesidad de propagar maíces nativos productivos y preservar in situ provenientes de otros sitios de México, en Tulancingo, Hidalgo, el objetivo fue evaluar 23 maíces nativos mexicanos en rendimiento, fenología, caracterización de plantas y mazorcas en el Altiplano Hidalguense. Se sembró el 19 de abril de 2022 en diseño de bloques completamente al azar con tres repeticiones. Se evaluó altura de planta, número de hojas y mazorcas, días a floración femenina y masculina, rendimiento de grano, peso de 200 granos, peso volumétrico, diámetro y largo de mazorca, número de líneas y granos. Se realizó Anova con GLM de SAS y Tukey (&#945;= 0.05), adicionalmente, se efectuó un análisis de regresión de Pearson y con la opción Stepwise de SAS para encontrar cual variable es mayormente responsable del rendimiento. El rendimiento mayor de grano se observó en el genotipo de Atlixco, Puebla (6 782 kg ha-1; p&lt; 0.05). Los maíces más precoces fueron Hitchila y palomero con floración masculina 75 y 78 días después de siembra (dds) y floración femenina a 80 y 83 dds, respectivamente (p&lt; 0.05). Los 200 granos de maíz más pesados fueron de Cuetzala, Guerrero con 94.4 g (p&lt; 0.05), mientras el peso volumétrico mayor ocurrió en palomero 70.7 kg hl-1. El rendimiento de grano fue influenciado por el diámetro de mazorca en 28% (p&lt; 0.05). El conocimiento de maíces nativos en Tulancingo, Hidalgo, permitió destacar en rendimiento de grano al maíz de Atlixco, Romita, Tehuacán, Chaltenco, y Huitchila.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract Given the need to propagate productive native corns and preserve in situ those from other sites in Mexico, in Tulancingo, Hidalgo, the objective was to assess 23 native Mexican corns in yield, phenology, and characterization of plants and ears of corn in the Highlands of Hidalgo. The sowing was carried out on April 19, 2022, in a completely randomized block design with three replications. Plant height, number of leaves and ears, days to female and male flowering, grain yield, weight of 200 grains, volumetric weight, diameter and length of the ear and number of rows and grains were evaluated. Anova with GLM of SAS and Tukey&#8217;s test (&#945;= 0.05) were carried out; likewise, a Pearson regression analysis was performed and the Stepwise option of Sas was used to find out which variable is most responsible for yield. The highest grain yield was observed in the genotype from Atlixco, Puebla (6 782 kg ha-1; p&lt; 0.05). The earliest corn were Huitchila and Palomero, with male flowering 75 and 78 days after sowing (das) and female flowering at 80 and 83 das, respectively (p&lt; 0.05).
